promoting just one thing and that's LESS…getting MORE with green simple living
Reduce office waste and recycle paper! Seems obvious, doesn’t it? But, did you know that an astounding 70% of the waste in your office is produced by paper? Like everything there is always a solution that can take a dent out of your office consumption and impact the environment and your purchasing costs.
Here’s a bakers dozen for you:
Commercial waste is responsible for 70% of the garbage in Canada (and most countries have high figures). . Toronto consumers only produce 30% of the waste, yet they are targeted with programs that make them pay. In fact the commercial buildings and offices have fewer regulations and guidelines – it’s much more simple, they are simply asked to pay for the cost of removal. They could use a private company that doesn’t care what happens to it. Reducing paper consumption is a good start, any act of green helps.
So if you reduce paper consumption in the office, you will have a positive impact on the environment. Challenge your office to implement a paper reduction strategy. Spread the word and care for the world.
